JOB SUMMARY

The Dockhand is responsible for assisting with marina maintenance duties and repairs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Inspecting, maintaining, repairing Marina docks, equipment, grounds.
  • Conducting inventory of parts/supplies needed for dock maintenance.
  • Check dock lines and utility connections on a daily basis or as requested.
  • Performing fuel dock attendant tasks as needed.
  • Assisting boaters with docking procedures.
  • Assistance as required in general Marina house cleaning, maintenance and repairs      (alertness for safety related repairs or needs, essential).
  • Assistance as assigned in hurricane or storm preparation.
  • Know applications of radio, hurricane, storm, fire, first aid, freeze and oil      spill procedures.
  • Assistance with retail inventories as needed.
  • Respond to boaters hailing the marina on the radio; directing those to appropriate      locations (e.g., fuel dock, slip assignment, etc.).

The Marina Supervisor assists the General Manager and Marina Manager in all aspects of unit operations and floor management, including equipment and property to facilitate the fulfillment of financial goals and company initiatives.   • Ensure complete guest satisfaction at all times. Handle guests’ complaints and solve them according to customer service standards.

  • Keep official records and execute administrative policies determined by or in conjunction with the General Manager.

The Marina Manager supports the General Manager in all aspects of the center’s daily operations and administrative management, including direct supervision of all non-exempt and marina professional staff. The Marina Manager also serves as Manager on Duty (MOD) when scheduled to cover in the absence of the General Manager and promotes the Marina, thereby increasing Center profitability while ensuring that its customers have a high-quality experience.

  • Serve as the point of contact for customer issues; respond to customer inquiries, resolve customer complaints, and communicate issues to the General Manager.   • Inspect the facility on a daily schedule and report any unsafe conditions or equipment to the manager.
